Partnership with Theta Sleep
Quality sleep is essential for mental and physical wellbeing, and many people seek therapy because ongoing stress, anxiety, or insomnia are affecting their rest. While these issues can often be supported through psychological intervention, some sleep problems have underlying medical causes, particularly sleep-disordered breathing and sleep apnoea.
To ensure every client receives the most appropriate form of support, Volition Therapy has partnered with Theta Sleep, a trusted UK-based sleep-specialist service offering full diagnostic assessment and treatment for sleep apnoea.
Why This Partnership Exists
During your assessment or ongoing sessions, I may identify indicators that your sleep difficulties could relate to disrupted breathing, oxygen drops, or apnoea events during the night. These are outside my scope of practice to diagnose or treat but they can be addressed effectively through medical sleep testing and specialist intervention.

This partnership provides you with:
-
A clear, seamless referral pathway
-
Access to specialist diagnostic expertise
-
A discounted rate on Theta Sleep’s full assessment package when referred via Volition Therapy
-
Continued therapeutic support throughout the process, if you choose

The aim is simple: to make sure you receive the right support for your needs, without delay.

-
Specialist Diagnostic Assessment
Theta Sleep conducts a home-based sleep test and reviews your results with you.
-
Ongoing Support
You are welcome to continue therapeutic work with me while you undergo assessment or treatment, ensuring you are supported emotionally and practically throughout.
Is This Pathway Right for You?
This screening and referral process may be helpful if you experience:
-
Loud snoring
-
Night-time choking or gasping
-
Observed breathing pauses
-
Unrefreshing sleep
-
Morning headaches
-
Excessive daytime sleepiness
-
Difficulty concentrating
-
Persistent insomnia that does not respond to psychological strategies

If any of these resonate with you, please feel free to get in touch or mention it during your next session.
Your Wellbeing Comes First
I do not diagnose or treat sleep apnoea that remains the responsibility of a qualified sleep-medicine specialist.
My role is to:
-
identify possible indicators,
-
provide an informed screening process, and
-
help you access the right clinical support.

I do not receive a referral fee for sending clients to Theta Sleep.
Instead, the value is passed directly to you through a reduced assessment cost.
