Yes, you will be aware of everything that is happening and can stop the process at any point.
No, hypnosis does not unlock hidden areas of your mind or personality. You will remain in control of what you say and do, though you may gain new perspectives on things you are already aware of.
No, hypnotherapy and stage hypnosis are very different things. Using hypnosis in this setting you may experience occasional body twitches or other minor phenomena, but you won't be doing anything outlandish or embarrassing.
Yes, you remain in full control during hypnosis. You can choose to respond to suggestions or not, and you can end the session whenever you wish.
Yes, hypnotherapy by itself has been proven to work for certain problems. The CBH approach that I use has been proven to make CBT more effective.
However, no therapy is effective for every individual. As such, we will discuss in the initial consultation whether hypnotherapy may be suitable for you.
