Online Therapy for Insomnia

Sleepless nights can take a heavy toll.

When you lie awake, watch the clock, or wake up still feeling exhausted, insomnia begins to affect how you think, feel, and live each day. Over time, it can create a cycle of stress. The more you worry about sleep, the harder it becomes to sleep.

At Volition Therapy, I offer online therapy for insomnia, so you can access support from wherever you are, with no travel needed. Many of the people I see find that their sleep issues are intertwined with stress, persistent thoughts, or emotional conflicts that make it hard to “switch off” at night.

How Therapy May Support Your Sleep

With online sessions tailored to your needs, we’ll explore:

  • How your thoughts, beliefs, and habits may be influencing your sleep cycle

  • Potential links to stress, unresolved worry, or emotional strain

  • Strategies to calm the nervous system and ease bedtime tension

  • Relaxation, grounding, hypnosis, and mindset tools that many clients report as helpful

  • Ways to reframe your relationship with sleep, easing pressure rather than chasing it

While therapy is not a medical treatment for sleep disorders, many clients notice improvements in how they rest over time as they address underlying stressors.

If you want to learn more about the methods I use, you can read about cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy (CBH) here, or check out my Working With Me page to see how I work.

Why Choose Online Therapy?

Online therapy makes it easier to get support when you need it. You don’t need to travel, you can join sessions from your own private, comfortable space. Many clients find that this format lowers the barrier to getting help when insomnia becomes overwhelming.

Your therapy journey can begin immediately, without waiting or commuting.

Some prefer a more personal experience, as such these sessions are also available face-to-face in Edinburgh.

Supporting Tools & Resources

To help you begin your journey, I also offer free resources such as sleep & stress hypnosis recordings, downloadable tools, and guidance on best practices. Feel free to explore the Resources section on my site to get started.

You may also find helpful articles in my Blog, including posts on sleep hygiene, stress coping techniques, and mindfulness. All of which connect back to better sleep.
